Cold Climates
It is not a synthetic polymer resin and not formulated or marketed as a polymer product.
It contains no sugars, molasses, or carbohydrate based binders. This distinction is essential for understanding its durability, biodegradation profile, and regulatory classification.
Hydrogel Bonding & Matrix Formation
The hydrogel fills pores and initiates progressive cementation, blocking pore throats while densifying and hardening over time. This permanently reduces porosity and significantly lowers permeability.
As the system matures, ionic crosslinking forms durable chemical bonds, creating longterm cementation. The formulation allows deep penetration before gel set, ensuring uniform coating of soil particles and continuous matrix formation—critical for sealing connected pore pathways.
Soil Types
Sand and Aeolian Soils
Sand and Aeolian Soils
Problem: High permeability, piping, poor cohesion.
Solution: WSA14TSB + MATRIX — designed specifically for sand soils.
Benefits: Deep penetration, structural low-permeability barrier, reduced piping risk, improved subbase strength.
Calcrete and Powder Calcrete
Calcrete and Powder Calcrete
Problem: Variable strength, moisture sensitivity, rutting under traffic.
Solution: WSA14 or WSA14TSB + MATRIX depending on impermeability needs.
Benefits: Increased UCS, improved bearing capacity, reliable subbase for gravel roads.
Latérite and Lateritic Gravels
Latérite and Lateritic Gravels
Problem: Low cohesion, seasonal weakening, early distress.
Solution: WSA14 for surface densification; WSA14TSB + MATRIX for structural reinforcement.
Benefits: Higher CBR, reduced rutting, longer service life.
Organic and Wetland Soils
Organic and Wetland Soils
Problem: Compressibility, washout risk.
Solution: WSA14 for erosion control; pilot required for long-term sealing.
Benefits: Improved surface resilience, reduced washout during rainy seasons.
Silty and Clayey Soils
Silty and Clayey Soils
Problem: High fines, shrink–swell, erosion.
Solution: WSA14 for pore sealing and compaction; pilot test for deeper sealing.
Benefits: Improved compaction, reduced surface erosion, better load distribution.
Penetration
WSA14TSB wet component drives active agents deep into sand and gravel matrices.
WSA14 rapidly disrupts continuous water pathways and reduces hydraulic conductivity.
Matrix Densification
The MATRIX dry blend forms a cementitious, low permeability structural layer that resists hydrostatic pressure and traffic loads.
